About
About us
Lightfinder is revolutionizing how the world harnesses light with next-generation photonic technologies powered by AI: Making spectroscopy and imaging smaller, more affordable, and more powerful than ever before. Lightfinder’s visionary team is shaping the future of optical sensing to solve critical global challenges, pushing the boundaries of how we see and understand the world. In doing so, we are redefining the future of precision sensing across industrial inspection, non-destructive testing, advanced material analysis, aerospace, telecommunications, healthcare diagnostics, and beyond.
Lightfinder is built on cutting-edge MIT & Columbia inventions. It technology is ranked among the Top 50 Papers in Physics by Nature Communications, was spotlighted on the MIT Homepage, covered by major news outlets, and awarded honors such as the MIT 100K Finals Audience Choice Award, NSF SBIR Phase I Award, and the Massachusetts Life Science Center (MLSC) NextGen Award.
More than technology, our edge is a formidable team driven by an unshakable vision. We won’t stop until we help you find the light.
Our Mission
To find light everywhere—and transform it into information that solves the world’s greatest problems.
Our Vision
To discover the wonder of light—within ourselves, each other, and the world—and use it to overcome what keeps us in the dark.
